Samuel’s Essay

I have been under quarantine since February of 2020. I got the flu about one or two weeks before COVID started. I was sick, and had to stay out of school. But then my mom and dad found out about COVID! So I couldn't go back to school after I was feeling better. So me and my family have to stay under quarantine until I get vaccinated. There are a few things I do like about COVID such as there are things that I didn't like about COVID. What I really like about COVID is that I do not have to wake up early and eat breakfast and pack my backpack, drive to the school and then wait until the bell rings. Now because of COVID, I just have to wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, then I even still have some time before school! When it is almost time all I have to do is go upstairs and log in!

Another thing I like about COVID is I have more time to play and learn new things! Like I learned how to ride my bike, and I am learning how to play drums, and I even learned how to fish! There's even 1 more. I even learned how to code games on a website called Scratch!

Now there's also things that I don't like about COVID These things are: I can’t go to restaurants or shops or inside buildings, and I can't visit my friends or family and they can't visit me.

Now I am going to talk about how I am different from other people because I was born with a half of a heart. First of all because of COVID me or my family are under very strict quarantine because I have a half of a heart. Other people don't have to be under that strict quarantine because they don't have a half of a heart, and they do not have to stay in the hospital as long as I did because they do not have a half of a heart. But I did get to have lots of fun there when I wasn't having a heart surgery, or having a shot, or doing other medical things. I have many disabilities, and things I had to do that other people didn't have to do. That is the way my life is. I hope my vaccine comes out soon!
