Photo Contest Rules

 

Thank you for considering the Share Your Heart™ Photo Contest that will help us show, through pictures, the many ways we share our hearts with others.

The following are the Share Your Heart™ Photo Contest Rules:

  1. All photos entered must include someone who has been affected by heart disease whether it be a patient, caregiver, family member, friend, or healthcare professional.

  2. EACH PERSON MAY SUBMIT ONE PHOTO ONLY. 

  3. Each person in the photo must have given permission to use the photo in the Share Your Heart contest.

  4. If a contestant is 17 years or younger, the person entering the contestant's photo in the contest must be their legal guardian or have the legal guardian's express permission to enter the contestant.  

  5. By entering a photo in the contest, you agree to allow The Mended Hearts, Inc. to use the photo in awareness campaigns, Heartbeat magazine, and other promotions.

  6. Please do not use filters for your photos or electronic writing on the photo. Signs within the photo itself are fine.

  7. There will be NO advantage or disadvantage to having a professional photo over a candid photo.  Professional photos are permitted so long as they contain the watermark giving proper credit to the photographer or photography studio. 

  8. Photos must be tasteful and appropriate for all ages. Showing scars is fine, but please be sure that this is done in a manner that is G rated. 

  9. Photos do not have to be current to win. Any photo showing how you share your heart with others is fine to enter.

  10. All photos must be submitted no later than February 28th, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. EST.   

  11. Anyone may vote on the photos, so be sure to share with family and friends.

  12. There will be a first, second and third place winner determined by the number of votes each photo gets. The most votes will be the first-place winner, the second most votes is the second-place winner, and the third most votes will win third place. There are prizes for each winner.

  13. Winners will be notified by email or phone.  Please be sure that the email you provide is the one you check often.  Winners will be notified on the Mended Hearts, Young Mended Hearts and Mended Little Hearts social media pages on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at 8 p.m. ET.  See the official terms and conditions disclaimer for more details.  

  14. If these rules are not followed, any photo submitted that breaks the rules will be automatically disqualified from winning the contest.
